  1. Wow. Dreadful. I might have to give the local Home Depots a ring and make sure they’re not on the chopping block. Thanks for posting this.

All I can say is this: Movie Gallery closing down may have little or nothing to do with the economy, as such. Considering some of their business/employment practices, I’m amazed they’ve stayed in business this long.

(Yes, I’m a former employee. How could you tell?)

I’ll be checking in on the Lane Bryant locations, but what I’d understood previously was that they wanted to go from Mall stores to strip mall/commercial center locations, instead. Maybe that’s part of it? Hmmm… Not sure.

Too bad for a lot of those, though. I’m SOL when it comes to gifts I can give from over here, now. 🙁

    Thanks for the heads up!

    Ciao!

117 locations of Ann Taylor???? Yikes!!!! Where will I shop if they close the ones around here???? Although I doubt they’re closing the ones around here. DC is a very recession-proof area (hello, federal government!) and we’re a conservation enough (well, in clothes, at least) market that nearly all career women shop there constantly.
