I‘m also going to be 40 year’s old in March turned 40 March 2009 and I’ve decided that I need to ring in the best decade of my life by doing something special. This is not a diet blog (though I do hope a side effect of this running shit will be weight loss). This is a training and kevetching blog. My partner in crime and I have 4-5 months to train for a half marathon. We’re both overweight and this is not going to be easy. But hopefully with our cross-continental support, we’ll both be successful.
UPDATE: We started this blog October 2008. It is currently July 2011 and I’m down 35+lbs and 4 sizes (depending on the clothing). I RAN my first 5K on my 40th birthday and I walked/ran my first half-marathon March 2011. I’ve since decided that walking is much more my style, so I currently walk about 20-25 miles a week.
