Okay, let me be totally humble here and tell you all that I have been a dieting LEGEND. Seriously. I’m impressing the hell out of myself.

There are several reasons I’m giving myself a particularly big high five today:

1) I’ve actually limited my snacking. I eat three small meals, have the occasional piece of fruit and then I eat a sugary snack. I still eat candy, I still eat chocolate, I just eat in moderation and write down the calories like I do for everything else. I’m not likely to join the moderation fan club but I don’t feel like I’m going to die or anything.

That’s progress, right?

2) I haven’t had a diet beverage since the beginning of June

3) I haven’t had an espresso beverage since the beginning of June

4) I haven’t had an alcoholic beverage since before the beginning of June.

5) I haven’t lost a pound in 5 days despite working my butt off at the gym and counting every single calorie.

Yup, I haven’t lost despite the fact that I have exercised 7 hours in 5 days. I know, I know, I ignored HZ’s plateau and as revenge mine punched me in the face.

Yeah, I’m a little bitter.

So I’m patting myself on the back and pretending like it doesn’t matter.

Tomorrow I will have either lost weight or I will shoot my scale. Forget the mind, the scale is the devil’s playground.
