I went to the Big Dam Bridge to run this afternoon. I challenged myself to run across the entire bridge (including the up ramp). Once I got to the other side, I challenged myself to run to the next quarter mile marker. When I made it to that marker, I challenged myself to make it to the next one.
When it was all said and done, I’d run 2 miles in 25 minutes (and some change. Maybe we should round it up to 26 minutes.) I ran outside, on pavement, with the wind blowing against me and the sun warming my face, for 25 26 straight minutes. 2 miles. ME. Mel “I only run when being chased by a clown” Francis.
Today, I earned my I AM AWESOME tiara.
That is all.

I so need to get back in the game. The winter and craziness of life has sucked the running out of me. I need to get back in the game. I will get on the stick. I’m writing the to motivate myself. I’m I little under the weather with I think the beginnings of the flu. Feeling crappy.
