I took my fat ass to run on the pavement again. This time on the North Little Rock side of the Big Dam Bridge. But my run only lasted 8 minutes today. First of all, my calves were really tight still from yesterday’s plodding. I stretched for a long time but that didn’t seem to help much. Secondly, I could feel blisters forming on the balls of my feet. Time for new shoes.
So I didn’t ‘run’ for long, I did, however, walk for 1 hour. A little over 4 miles total. Was pretty pleased with that. I also had a friend who kept me company via text message almost the entire time. That made the walk go by very fast. Nothing like quick wit and sharp tongue to keep you laughing until the walk is over.
